Kamber’s “can do” attitude: Kamber Energy Services

The world-class natural gas resources in northeast British Columbia’s Horn River Basin (HRB), Liard Basin, and Montney Basin have attracted billions of investment dollars from many major producers.

It’s no accident that an increasing number of these producers are turning to Kamber Energy Services for a variety of completion and production needs when it comes to their wells in the area.

Founded in 2006 by Terry McLeod, Kamber is focused on providing its customers with a variety of coiled tubing and nitrogen services from its Fort St. John, B.C. location.

“Since we know the region well and are strategically located in the heart of major gas plays and other opportunities, we can often reduce time for on-site work performed and transportation to our customer’s sites in northeast B.C.,” says McLeod. “This can amount to significant cost savings for our customers.  These cost savings are more important than ever to producers in the current low natural gas price environment.  Our knowledge and expertise allows us to focus on what we can do for our customers. We are not only an energy services company, we are a solutions company.”

Known for supplying premium oilfield equipment and unmatched service to northeast B.C., Kamber is continually assessing the needs of its customers and expanding its fleet to make sure there is enough equipment to handle customer demand.  Kamber has recently added an additional 2012 NOV HydraRig coiled tubing trailer equipped with a HR680 injector. The unit is equipped with a NOV CTES Orion IV data acquisition system.  Kamber has also added a 2012 Kenworth with 50T crane, a heated chemical/BOP trailer, and a 2012 Kenworth tractor with Enerflow Industries 10K Fluid Pumper. This will bring Kamber’s fleet to five 180K nitrogen pumpers, two Class III long reach coiled tubing units,  two reel trailers, two nitrogen bulkers, two 45T+ cranes, two chemical/BOP trailers and two 10K twin fluid pumps.

Kamber’s nitrogen and coiled tubing units are operated by some of the best operators in the industry. Overseeing Kamber’s exceptional field staff are nitrogen services manager Jamie Lawson and coiled tubing manager David Smith. Kamber’s management and supervisory personnel have over 70 years of combined expertise.

With its modern and innovative fleet, Kamber offers its customers a full range of services including horizontal well completions, cleanouts, acid stimulation, perforating, fishing, milling, logging, N2 cleanouts, N2 purging, and nitrified acid assists.

In addition to ongoing day-to-day business, Kamber also takes great pride in being British Columbia’s largest independent provider of coiled tubing and nitrogen services.

“We support the local economy and wherever possible hire and train local people,” adds McLeod.

28-1It is easy to see why Kamber’s “can do” attitude is making them the “go-to” supplier of nitrogen and coiled tubing services in Northeast British Columbia.
