Minister Coleman with Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Canada.
Natural Gas Development and the future it holds, were topics of discussion with the Ambassador when he recently met with BC’s Natural Gas Development Minister, the Honourable Rich Coleman.

Deputy Premier and Minister of Natural Gas Development, Rich Coleman has issued the following statement about the Huu-ay-aht First Nations vote supporting Sarita LNG:

“The Province of British Columbia welcomes today’s news that the Huu-ay-aht First Nations have approved the first co-management development arrangement for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in our province.

“This development follows a significant vote of support by the Huu-ay-aht citizens for the Sarita LNG facility proposed by Steelhead LNG. It showcases the benefits of partnerships with First Nations.

“This another significant step toward securing a strong, diversified clean natural gas export industry in British Columbia. We look forward to working with the Huu-ay-aht First Nations and Steelhead LNG as the project moves forward.”
